Afraid of sexual harassment claims by women 12/19/2009

I decided to go into massage after several years of disability due to Lyme Disease. Massage helped relieve the pain I felt, and I wanted to learn a skill I knew worked.
I worked part time for a massage school for a year before I attended another school. I heard the horror stories from male graduates, but thought "I can make it." See, I thought that I could advertise to gay men for massage services, since I'm gay also and have no problem working with them.
I got a pretty good amount of business at first, but much of it was 1 or 2 appointments per client and that was it. When these people realized that I was giving "real" massage, and not "erotic" massage
, they disappeared. I don't blame them since many supposed "massage therapists" who are actually escorts make them expect that as normal.
I worked on women in school and have no problem with it, but I'm kind of scared by all the stories of being sued. I only wanted to be able to relieve people of pain and help them relax. I guess my thoughts that "I could make it" have been dashed.
