Having spent some time in Texas in the 80's, I may have something to say in this regard.
Obviously, Austin Texas has the largest population open to receiving massage work. There are many potential consumers of your services in the Texas capital city. That being said, also keep in mind Austin probably has the most massage therapists already working than any other texas town. Needless to say, competition will be steep. However, I don't think that should be a problem if your skills are excellent, and you deliver your services professionally.
I also spent some time in Houston Texas, and remember there was a large Gay population especially on the NW side of town that seemed to be open to massage services. Your problem there will be to seperate the ones seeking "Gay Massage" sex services from bonafide potential clients seeking professional massage services who just happen to be Gay.
Still, it's a market worthing tapping into though you may need to proceed more cautiously.
