Content Submission Rules
Here are a few rules when making content submissions:
- Be productive. The main purpose of this website is to HELP other male massage therapists who are struggling to make a living or experiencing discrimination. Constructive criticism is always more productive for everyone.
- Yes, you can rant a bit. Just try to summarize a “rant” submission with a “point”, or at least a proposed solution.
- If you do care to rant, and you make a negative remark about a named company or therapist that has somehow slighted you or your employment, then you must submit your name with the submission. If you leave an anonymous submission, I will still probably allow the submission, but I will edit out the name of the individual or therapist you are speaking negatively about. Those accused of transgressions have a right to know who has accused them.
- If you are ranting about a client or patient, absolutely no names!
- No profanity/vulgar language. Try to be professional at all times. While this can be tough, especially if you recently were discriminated against, keeping the language professional will be the best way to show that male massage therapists are, in fact, just that: Professionals.
- If you decide to submit a photo with your content submission, please keep it tasteful. Professional dress type photo is best.
- Submissions in the form of a question are OK, especially from new male massage therapists. Just give as much background information as possible so anyone who wishes to respond can give you a usable answer.
- Think about what you want to say before you write it. There are thousands of people who will be reading it. You have the power to negatively or positively influence the practice of many new male massage therapists.
- Absolutely no submissions promoting a sexually oriented business, practice or website. Sexuality is certainly an issue regarding male massage therapists and the reasons for which they are discriminated against. We'll try to tackle these issues in this website, but when the conversation turns this direction, this is not an invite for wierdos with ulterior motives to make content submissions.
- Lastly, you must be a MALE MASSAGE THERAPIST to make a content submission. Any submissions made by a female (therapist or not) will be deleted.
