double sheet draping
by: Anonymous

may i suggest to the therapist who seems unsure about clients dressing down more than expected..i always use double sheet draping and recommend you do the same. I am still mastering the technique of a more conservative draping method since i got little instruction in school.(schools seem to fall short on teaching draping techniques)

that is my recommendation..learn some good draping..

Don't limit yourself to Swedish massage
by: Hans Albert Quistorff, LMP Antalgic Posture Pain Specialist

If your only treatment plan is full body Swedish massage then a clothed client is something to fear.
I personally very seldom work on a client that is not fully clothed. I find clothing an impediment to my type of work only when it is too restrictive of movement or too rough on my hands.

As you continue your education, you will acquire
many assessment tools and treatment tools that are not dependent on having the client undress.

Fear of......
by: Anonymous

If you haven't done so prior to the client being on the table, find out what the client's objectives wanted before you start working and remind the person not much can be achieved nor felt with clothing on, except during seated chair massage....then again maybe that's what the person had in mind?
