is this a viable career option?

i am an 18 year old with my GED and part time job still living with my parents. i live in a major city in texas and from what i've read im in the best area in the country.

massage therapists in texas being the highest average pay out of anywhere in the US. i've also read somebody who works just 3 days a week can rake in over 50k a year! schooling is aprox 7-9 months and only 6k or so which i can do. it all just sounds too good to be true

my only concern is what if i put all my money into schooling and cant find work? And if i really go head first into this thing and get my degree, where would my best bet be as far as looking for work?

im just a guy looking for a good paying job
