Male Therapist left profession, returning after 3 years.

First, I need to offer some background info before I ask the question. I left massage 3 years ago because of an ethics violation where I got involved with a client I had known from years ago.

Feeling that I had violated the code of ethics, I turned myself in, called my malpractice insurance, and notified the chiropractor I worked for which was a female. I did not call the state massage board, but she did, thus I felt compelled to call them with the complete story.

I was doing well sometimes 9 to 10 massages a day, but one day came into work, before the end of the investigation to find that she was firing me.

I was teaching muscles at a massage school at the time and felt hypocritical because of the ethics violation, left the school and the profession and now plan to reenter.

My probation has been cleared, license restored etc., and I have left the woman that brought on this problem. She is happily married to someone else.

Consequently, with all of the angst against male therapists HOW DO I GAIN CLIENTELE IN LIEU OF THIS SITUATION?

IF asked by a former client, How do I answer them?
