If You Find This Page Irks You, Then You Take Yourself Far Too Seriously
Sometimes in the quest of attempting to always portray ourselves as professional and legitimate male massage therapists, it is easy to get too serious and forget that we are still guys, sometimes with our own moronic sense of humor. And yes, there’s plenty of moronic massage humor for the laughing.
With that in mind, I invite you to take a step back and enjoy some of the massage humor that’s out there, keeping in mind that while some of this may appear derogatory to the profession of massage, it is, in fact, some of what we all experience, or at least what some of our clients perceive goes on in massage.
Take it for what it is--a joke—or a parody. Yes, it's supposed to be funny. Have a laugh, and then move on. Some of this borders on the edge of an adult nature. Deal with it. To be a therapist (male or female) you need to be an adult with an emotionally stable psyche to begin with. Laughing at ourselves in awkward situations is a sign of a mature coping mechanism.
