Steve's Two Male Massage Stories - The Bad

There are two, within months.

First, I have a successful practice in a small resort town in Ga. I was doing referral work for a resort when I received a call from a church group leader expressing interest in 8 couples wanting massages while at a retreat coming up in 3 weeks. I explained that I could accomodate them with help from another MT.( all my fellow MT's are women).I also knew that I would have to change my vacation with my wife and go earlier to Charleston and get back in time. So I booked them, all 16, secured help in advance, and took off in the rain, driving instead of flying, staying in a worse motel, paying more for everything, just to get back in time.

When contacting the group leader and confirming the upcoming event, her response was, "oh, now only 3 couples want massages, all 6 want female (therapists). You know we are a church group, right?"

Well I took a big breath, and then responded, "Yes, but can you tell me, based on the church thing, why the males need a female therapist?"

Silence, then, "Well I never thought of that, sir?"

HMMMMM!?

Second, another church leader, worst for tips and judgements, IMO, requested a female therapist for 30 women coming to town, for short chair sessions. Her comments centered on the fact that, "well, we are a church group you know?"

Sound familiar? I asked her if she was speaking for all 30 women, sure? I referred her to 3 fellow MT's, who I respect and admire. We network often.

Well, after several days I called the leader to follow up and see if she had secured another MT. She was so pleased and grateful that she had found someone who would make the women confortable and there would be no sexual conflicts. The MT she chose I am sure was very professional and would never exhibit any conflicts.

The funny irony of the story is that the female MT she chose over the phone is a professional MT in all ways, and also is very open in her sexual choice as a lesbian.

So much for the woman view on gay men as fine.
