Whats a good way of starting out with little money?

I am 23, Skeptical and down from trying to start out. I lost a $30,000 a year job putting all my attention into Massage School.

I just obtained my license and every client in my internship gave me great feedback and told me I was something better than the usual they see. But my confidence was down once I realized two weeks ago I was in a female dominated occupation. But I know a male massage therapist that makes $1,000 a day from massaging but he wont give me no pointers.

So how do I start out?
